Finally

Phew – finally I got my passwords figured out. Don’t you hate that? when you need to get into an account but the passwords aren’t working. yah, anyway.

So as you know or can tell things have been moving. I was contacted back in July to put together the Grammy poster. It was a tremendous project, both in the depth of the piece and the quality.

I knew immediately what I wanted to create and I wanted it to be a much higher quality of video. I had to create a white room for shooting which I didn’t know how to do (figured it out) and I wanted to work with instruments to create the piece. I initially picked the guitar, a mic, piano, and a drum. The drum got removed in the end but the texture of the background image was created with drumsticks.

It’s funny to look back on because I would have had a lot more to say about it and the process. But I couldn’t much talk about it.

Like this other situation, I was just in NY shooting something, but I can’t talk about it yet either. Hopefully everyone will know about it in a few months.

So now that all of the things I can’t talk about are out of the way, ha. So what is happening now, well it’s almost Christmas, I am finishing up a rare commissioned piece, and then I will start working on another Grammy related piece. It could be released shortly so there isn’t much to keep secret. It will be a slightly different piece for me as I’m really focusing on the video aspect to it and equally as much concern on the final image. It’s a hard balance a lot of the time. Usually the video is better than the end image or vise versa.

Then starting the new year I will be kicking in a new series. (dramatic music playing)

I’m thrilled for you! THis is the start of something big. Your art is being exposed to some powerful creative folks who will be climbing all over each other to have you work for them. Well, that’s the way *I* envision it… :-)

Even if you can’t say exactly what’s going on, give us the vague updates!! And I agree with the person above, I’m so excited that you’re getting more and more exposure. You totally deserve it after all your hard work and dedication and I can’t wait to see what projects are coming up.

It is so great to have you back on the site and to see the amazing things you have been doing. The grammy piece was fantastic. I get the mic for the singer and the fingers for the piano, but what were you using for the guitar player portion? I could never figure out what you have in your hand that you were painting with…. I’m really looking forward to seeing more of your exciting work. By the way, my three year old son is running around the house pulling up his sweatshirt saying “More nipples, and more nipples, and MORE NIPPLES!!!” Laughing wickedly all the while. I’m wondering what look his preschool teacher is going to give me when I pick him up tomorrow…. My 10 year old daughter thinks your nipple picture statement is smart and funny, you’re her rebelious hero. She is indignant for all women that Facebook has banned breastfeeding pics. Funny, she was bottle fed. All of us love your stuff- glad you’re back.
